Bronze Early Corinthian
This helmet represents a fully refined example from around 500 BCE, with eybrows continuing around the nasal and completely rolled edges. Corinthian helmets were used throughout Greece and carried to Greek colonies in Sicily, Italy and Spain. Italians adopted it as well and examples have even been found in Celtic graves, and the basic styling of the Corinthian helm survived into the 15th century in many examples of Italian "barbuta" helms. Our Corinthians are manufactured in India by International Steelcrafts of 16 gauge bronze. Please specify head circumference to assure closest fit, or if helm will be used solely for display.

I
received my Early Corinthian helm on Friday. It is absolutely beautiful,
and looks incredible with your horse-hair crest attached! Because of
the invesment, I did a ton of research before I chose this piece; I
would say that, hands down, it is the best Corinthian available for
less than $1,400. I'd also like to thank you sincerely for the outstanding
service I've received. I plan to sing Albion's praise in the Phalanx
NewsGroup (an Ancient Sparta/Greek discussion group).
